Melody Hullett is the wife of Porter Hullett, mother of three children and grandmother of three beautiful granddaughters.  Melody is a former Warden of Illinois Department of Corrections. She started her career in Corrections as a Correctional Officer at Jacksonville Correctional Center went back to College, while raising her three children earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership.  Melody Hullett promoted to the position of Assistant Warden of Programs at Decatur Correctional Center in March of 2007.   She then was promoted to Warden of Lincoln Correctional Center January of 2009 and served in this capacity until March of 2013.   Warden Hullett took a voluntary reduction to the position of Assistant Warden of Programs at Logan Correctional Center and served in this capacity until stepping away September 30, 2013.  Melody Hullett along with her husband Porter Hullett are the CEO’s and Founders of Pure Haven Family Resource Center where they currently provide extensive programing for At Risk individuals, as well as Hopeless & Hurting people and their Families bringing awareness that they are not what they see in themselves or current situation.

Melody is an Instructor at Life Christian University satellite campus located at Word & Spirit Worship Center in Springfield Illinois.   Melody holds a Bachelor & Masters of Arts degree in The Study of Theology, and Masters of Art in Christian Counseling earned through Life Christian University.  Melody has been honored with the 2017 President’s Lifetime Achievement Award she received under the Presidency of Barack Obama for Outstanding Volunteer service.  In 2018 Melody became certified Anger Management Consultant and received her certificate in Mental Health First Aide for both Youth and Adult.

Melody is a licensed Minister and ordained Elder. She loves God and enjoys sharing His love and goodness with others as well as teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 and Luke 1:37, adding that these scriptures reminds her daily that God has already set the plans in motion for her, and nothing is impossible with Him.

Porter who is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana attended the University of Indianapolis, is a graduate of the American College of Life Underwriters, an Army Veteran, Former Insurance and Securities Representative, and presently works as a Business Account Executive for Comcast Business Services Department. Melody is grateful for the wonderful support of her husband who adds great value to Pure Haven with his knowledge, wisdom, and heart for family unity. 

Together Porter and Melody also oversee the Ministry Department for Marriages at Cathedral of Worship church where they are members.  Porter and Melody have a heart for broken, suffering marriages with a desire to aid and lead them to wholeness the way God intended.  Porter and Melody have a blended family of three adult children, three granddaughters and have been married for 14 years.  

Gail welcomes everyone with a heart and love of God.  We appreciate her flexibility and desire to aide in keeping our office running smoothly.  She not only serves as our receptionist but she goes above and beyond by serving as a co-teacher of Bible Study with Director Hullett as well as other office tasks and responsibilities.  We love everything about Ms. Gail and appreciate all that she does with the love of God operating through her naturally.
